Mission: The Richard Condorelli Memorial Foundation is building a Healthcare Facility in an underserved tribal region in India, which will include an Oral Rehabilitation Center that focuses on early detection and management, with an additional emphasis on the prevention of oral cancer. In addition to providing free dental care to the region’s 50,000 school-aged children, and to adults at a subsidized cost, it will be used to train 25-30 high school graduated tribal girls every year as Dental Assistants/Auxiliaries, and to find them employment opportunities amongst the private practitioners. ADA members may be interested in learning more about the project or donating funds to expedite construction of the building, but may also want to learn about the exciting opportunity the facility presents. A major element of sustaining quality healthcare will be the participation of foreign doctors/dentists, who will have the opportunity to visit the facility and volunteer their services, staying in attached bungalow apartments built specifically for them. Because we are in the final stages of construction, I wanted to begin getting the word out to physicians and dentists about this exciting volunteer/philanthropic opportunity.
